Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) now
at SBRGA
There will be a CMP shoot at SBRGA
August 9! A “standard issue” military rifle is required, iron sights only.
Offhand slow, sitting/kneeling rapid, prone rapid and prone slow. 10
practice/sighter rounds. 50 rounds for score.
Required Equipment: Standard issue military rifle (see CMP rules) and 60
rounds of ammo, ear and eye protection, 2 magazines/clips.
Recommended Equipment: Spotting scope, shooting mat (or piece of carpeting),
hat, glove, sling.

CMP matches are competition, they are not training. There are strict rules
on allowed rifles and equipment, please check the rules. Shooters should be
familiar with the required equipment, 3 position shooting, and reloading on
the clock during rapid fire.
There will be a modest entry fee. Shooters must be there by 9:30 for sign-up
and squading. Shooting starts 10:00.

Hunter Safety Classes
THE NEXT FIREARMS HUNTER SAFETY CLASS AT SBRGA:
Sept. 10th - 6PM to 9PM
Sept. 21st - 8AM to 4PM
No pregistration is required. A $5 donation to SBRGA is suggested, but not
required.
